Scaled for Growth

Formed in 1983 through the merger of three established construction companies, IJM was founded to build a professionally-run Malaysian engineering group capable of competing with foreign players. Today, we have evolved into a diversified group operating across Construction, Property, Industry and Infrastructure.

Guided by disciplined execution and institutional governance, we deliver complex projects and develop long-term assets that underpin Malaysia’s built environment and support its economic progress, while steadily expanding our international footprint.

JRL Group

IJM holds a 50 % equity interest in JRL Group, a leading UK construction company established in 1996 with integrated contracting and engineering capabilities. JRL delivers residential, commercial and institutional projects and provides end-to-end services that support complex urban and infrastructure-linked developments, enhancing IJM’s construction capabilities and supports its long-term expansion in the UK market.

25 Finsbury Circus

IJM acquired a long-leasehold interest in 25 Finsbury Circus for £72.5 million as part of its strategy to build a quality commercial portfolio in the City of London. The Edwardian-era office building is undergoing a £150 million refurbishment that preserves its architectural character while repositioning the asset to meet modern occupier requirements, enhancing leasing prospects and supporting long-term rental income.

88 Royal Mint Street

IJM Land, through RMS (England) Ltd, is developing 88 Royal Mint Street, in central London, following the completion of 85 Royal Mint Street in 2019. Located near Tower Bridge, the 15-storey development comprises a 463-room aparthotel under Staycity Group’s Wilde brand and 79 residential units. Supported by a 30-year lease with Staycity, the project is targeted for completion in 2028.

The Wheat Quarter

The Wheat Quarter is a mixed-use redevelopment of a former 11-acre industrial site in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, approved to deliver around 578 new homes alongside commercial and ancillary uses. The masterplan incorporates the sensitive refurbishment of Grade II-listed silos and improved public realm, connecting the site with its surroundings and supporting access to the nearby railway and town centre.

Innova-Network Rail Partnership

Innova is a joint venture between IJM’s UK subsidiary and Network Rail Property focused on developing 12 underutilised rail-linked sites across key London locations. Collectively, these opportunities have the potential to deliver significant mixed-use development, including new homes, commercial, life-sciences and logistics spaces, with an estimated GDV exceeding £7 billion, contributing to enhanced urban regeneration and connectivity.

85 Royal Mint Street

Completed in 2019, 85 Royal Mint Street is the first phase of Royal Mint Gardens and comprises three 15-storey residential buildings delivering 256 units across 315,000 sq. ft. Built over two active railway lines and alongside the Docklands Light Railway at Tower Hill, the development required innovative engineering to accommodate complex site constraints and existing rail infrastructure.
