What is reporting in good faith and what happens if I intentionally make a false report?

“Good faith” reporting means it is based on reasonable suspicion and submitted with the good intention of preventing or rectifying a wrongdoing. This means the report must be factual and free from malicious intent, and should be made in the best interest of the Company. Malicious intentions include knowingly make a false report, exaggerating details to cause harm or to settle a personal grudge.

Whistleblowers who submit a report in good faith with a genuine and reasonable belief that the information is true will be protected under this policy, even if an investigation finds no evidence of wrongdoing. However, anyone who knowingly makes a false, malicious or exaggerated report will not be afforded protection and may subject to disciplinary action.

Will my identity be kept confidential and what are the protections provided to the Whistleblower?
